The Irithyll Dungeon is a large area associated with the Defiled Capital. Full exploration of this place will be impossible without returning here via another route from the Capital. In addition to this, there you will find keys that open cells in the dungeon.
Walk away from the fire and use the ladder. When you find yourself halfway, you should notice a knight going down. Run to him and lure him to the fire. This way, the knight will quickly follow you and when you go downstairs, you will have more time before the second knight arrives. Use this time and kill your enemy, because fighting two opponents at the same time will certainly be more difficult.
After you defeat the Pontiff, light a bonfire in the cathedral and use the opposite door to reach the balcony. As soon as you leave the room, jump down - if you are able to kill the lizards, you will receive a shimmery titanite for each creature. Also on the right, at the end, there is a large titanite shard.
When you turn left in front of the cathedral entrance, you will find a large titanite shard in the corner. The stairs will lead you to the entrance to the church, where you will find the Yorshka church bonfire.
After defeating the boss Supreme Overlord Volnir, a door will open at the top of the stairs in the place where you fought him. Go through the door to enter the location. Right after entering you will find the first bonfire.
Smoldering Lake is an optional location. You can visit it if you destroyed the wooden bridge in the Catacombs of Kartus. After that, you can use the bridge as a ladder to go down, where you will find a bonfire behind the room with the demon - behind it you can enter this location.
The catacombs are a place where you will find many traps and new enemies. In addition to this, you must look closely at the walls and pay attention to details that are different from the rest - some of them are illusory walls. At the bottom, you will also find a Fire Demon.
You can explore this location by walking in both directions. It doesn't matter which path you take, because the location is round. The walkthrough posted here focuses on the left path. We draw your attention to the note on extinguishing the flame. You can place it near stone towers, and every time you extinguish the flames, you will receive a reward in the form of a cutscene. Complete this task to open the door that is located directly opposite the entrance to the Trail of Sacrifices.
Once you find yourself inside, head towards the corridor on the left side. Kill or try to avoid the "something" that is on the floor to get to the Duel Charm on the other side. In the next room you will face a group of enemies (they are hiding in the corners). You can turn left in the next hallway and take the elevator, which will allow you to unlock the shortcut near the Cleansing Chapel bonfire. Do this and turn right to reach the room with the seated giant.
