Remember: most of the time, you will be susceptible to poisoning. As such, it makes sense to equip yourself with items and armor / rings that will stimulate your resistance against poison and eliminate the negative effects of poison.
You can explore this location by walking in both directions. It doesn't matter which path you take, because the location is round. The walkthrough posted here focuses on the left path. We draw your attention to the note on extinguishing the flame. You can place it near stone towers, and every time you extinguish the flames, you will receive a reward in the form of a cutscene. Complete this task to open the door that is located directly opposite the entrance to the Trail of Sacrifices.
To the right of the entrance, lean out just a little to collect the Purple Moss and Iron Flesh Thickets.
There are two maggots on the left side. In fact, the entire area is filled with them, and they can be especially dangerous in groups. One of them is located in the corner, against the wall. Creatures protect the body with the Rough Mask. Not far from here, next to the fallen dome, there is an Estus Shard, and a Titanite Shard just behind the next island.
A little further, behind the fallen tower, you can go to the middle of the swamp (on the right side). There are two bridges located opposite each other - on one there is a Thicket of purple moss, and on the other there is a Great Sword.
Put out the first flame: enter again the door located next to the fallen tower on the left (if you go further, you will encounter a small island with a shard of titanite). Go upstairs and get ready to battle enemies who are focused on melee attacks. Dodge and strike back. Go to the flame and extinguish it (cut-scene). Collect the pine resin before going downstairs.
Continue along the wall and you should come across some interesting items: 10x Prism and 4x Rotten Pine Resin. Get to the lonely tower, which won't take you too long. Prepare for battle with a strong knight. Fight back when he makes one attack (he will stay in one position for a minute). You should also watch out for his "spells". When you kill him, take the Sage's Coal.
You will light a bonfire next to the broken bridges (screenshot). Here you will find a Titanite Shard and stairs that will take you to the island above (there is another Titanite Shard on the left side).
Remember: Along the way, you will come to a location where you can extinguish the second flame (protected by two enemies), and where there is a bridge leading to the second fire (you will face three enemies: try to kill at least one of them or throw them off the bridge). You can also get to it from the other side, which will be described later in this text.
Get down the stairs and move further along the wall. You will notice three large creatures in the distance that have gathered around the subject. If you want to collect the Poisoned Gem, you have to be very fast and choose your best armor (to survive). There is no point in starting a battle, since they will all throw shells at you. Outsmart them, take the gem and run away as fast as you can.
Move on along the wall. Avoid under the bridge to the right. There are three more monsters around the corner (let them spot you and kill them one by one).
You will end up at the location indicated in the screenshot. You will encounter one of the giant crabs from the Victims Path location. The fight will be difficult, but running between trees should help. Use fire bombs or spells to kill him. In addition, if you have befriended the giant from the Settlement of the Undead, he will throw spears at your enemies. He can even throw the crab down for you.
After you defeat the monster, you will receive the Lingering Dragoncrest Ring, and you will find the Soul of the Nameless Soldier, two Young White Branches (under the tree), the Crown of Dawn, Amber, 6 gold tar balls, and the Large Soul of the Unknown Traveler scattered around.
Find the bridge and the door opposite it - it should be open since you put out all the flames. There is a titanite shard under the bridge, and a passage will lead you to a bonfire.
If you have not previously approached this bonfire from the other side, you will have to cross the bridge (there will be three enemies waiting for you, so kill or throw them off).
There is another tower directly behind it (find the flame and put it out). You can also pick up Purple Moss Bush.
From a campfire in ruins
Return to the door that is still closed. There is a lone tower on the right side, and inside is a body surrounded by maggots. Kill them and collect the Undead Bone Shard.
Stand with the tower behind you, turn left and try to avoid (well, or fight with him) a large enemy who uses a log as a weapon. If you want to challenge a creature, prepare for heavy damage - beware of its direct attacks and red skulls that will follow you. Keep moving and dodging attacks so that you are behind him. There will be more enemies around, but most of them can be avoided.
If you move further along the wall, you will find the entrance to the cave. Watch out for basilisks as they spit. Do not stay in pairs for too long, as you will be damned and thus die. It is best to roll forward when the creature is in the air. Quickly roll over and stab the enemy in the back. At the entrance there is a Repair Powder, a Golden Scroll, and a chest with an Obsolete Set. Get out and walk around the rocks to collect the large soul of the nameless soldier on the other side.
On the right side, you should have three stone buildings and a staircase in front of you. She will lead you to a place where you can put out the third flame (you will face another enemy and Homeward Bone). After you put out the flame, go back the same way and go around the stone building on the left.
There is another building not very far from here. Find the location shown in the screenshot and collect the Titanite Shard (by the fire). In the corner of the building you will find the Wolf Blood Swordweed, and on the large island you will find a Pot of Estus Soup and a Medal of Light.
Go straight ahead (screenshot) and reach the other side. Watch out for another enemy with a log (you can also avoid him and collect the double titanite shard and the Nameless Knight Set, which can be found in the hole in the wall, on the left).
After you explore the area and put out all the flames, use the ladder to climb up.
Upper entrance
Inside, by the fire, is Farron's Old Wolf. Move closer to receive the Legion Etiquette gesture and become part of the Farron convention watchdogs. Use the stairs on the right side to go outside.
Quickly kill the lizard in the corner and collect the Shimmering Titanite. Note the wall on the left side. Hit it and you will discover another illusion. Go inside and take the Dreamer's Ashes from the body hanging by the window (screenshot).
Go back inside and use the elevator that will take you to the very top. You will gain access to the bridge, but stay away from the demon. Instead, turn right at the gate and find the platform below (screenshot). Go down with it and go along the wall. Kill two more Crystal Lizards (get two Large Titanite Shards) and collect the Dragon Crest and Luminous Spear shield next to the dragon. Return to the gate and prepare for the undead attack, and more than one crystal lizard (collect the Heavy Gem). Go to the other side and fight the mini-boss.
Mini Boss - Lost Demon
Although the Lost Demon is not a boss, his size and strength make him one of the most powerful enemies. The creature will use its giant mace to drive the player into the ground, or swing it if you're too close. If you keep your distance, the demon will throw rocks at you and try to catch you (which means instant death) and throw you off the bridge. The best solution is to stay between your legs for most of the fight, and thus make it difficult for him to hit you. The creature will try to jump and stomp, but both of these attacks are fairly easy to avoid. Also, when it touches the ground, it will take a while before the demon is actually firmly on the ground, giving you plenty of time to hit.
Don't fix the camera to the demon. Just strike with his back to you. Your first step is the key to success, as it is very difficult to flank the beast. When you are under his feet, keep your strike distance. If the demon turns towards you, dodge and roll under his belly so that you end up behind him again. Follow these tips and you can avoid the most dangerous hits.
As a reward, you will receive the Lost Demon Soul and 5 souls. Don't forget to collect the Double Ember and the Great Ax from the bridge.
The path to the boss Voidwatchers
Put out all the flames and go through the door opposite the Keep Ruins bonfire. The road will be divided into two paths. Be smarter and choose the left one. At the end, you will encounter a shaman who will cause the transformation of enemies outside the path. Kill him and collect the Shriving Stone located on the road.
A knight will come to you, so watch out for his quick attacks. Walk up and turn right outside the ruins. You will light a fire and meet three more enemies. Not far from here, you will encounter the reptile you encountered earlier. You will be in a narrow hallway, so be careful when you dodge. In addition, this reptile has more health points. Kill her and you will receive a Titanite Shard. A little further you can open the gate that leads to the swamps in the location of the Path of Sacrifices. Also, in front of the bars there is a spell, Great Magic Weapon.
Remember: in front of the stairs, on the right, there is a hole in the wall. You can use it to jump down and collect the Hollow Stone Punishment.
Go to the main gate. You will face a duel of opponents. Wait for the winner and attack him. The gate will lead you to the boss, Guardians of the Abyss. Before meeting them, you can turn right to find Ember, and at the top of the hill, not counting two more enemies, Black Bug Pellet.
Remember: If you followed Sirris's quest and took the Dreamer's Ashes to the Fire Temple maid, you could talk to Sirris again at the Purifying Chapel. Thus, a sign that will allow you to summon her will be located at the entrance.
