Walkthrough Outward - Main Quests

Shipwrecked

You start the game on the shore after your ship wrecked. Search the area for some berries, seaweed, and a tattered suit. On the shore you will find a heap of rubbish, and walking past the stone gate, you will find a mineral deposit. As soon as you feel thirsty, drink clear water near the broken bridge (not salt water). You can also walk along the paths along the water to find a harpoon and other goods. If you are brave enough, fight the wolves behind the stone gates. If you lose (or die of death), you will wake up later in the house.

Walkthrough Outward - Main Quests

Talk to your friend Izan Argenson in the clearing, who will send you to sleep. You will wake up in your family's lighthouse. There you will find all the basic equipment you need, including green work clothes, a primitive backpack, a water wineskin, a lantern, a Ceviche recipe, and more.

Walkthrough Outward - Main Quests

When you have a backpack, wineskin, weapons and bandages or a healing potion (you can find them along the way, so don't worry), go outside and talk to Barakteyk. The Citizens of Sierzo will demand a debt from you (150 silver), but Rissa Aberdeen will intercede for you and declare a period of mourning, buying you five days so that you either earn Respect for the Tribe (this will cancel the debt) or 150 silver.

Walkthrough Outward - Main Quests

Call of Adventure

Talk to Rissa, who will tell you to talk to Trainer Eto Kazite (he will teach you how to fight), Gatekeeper Burak (teach you survival skills), shopkeepers, as well as the innkeeper and Izan on the beach.

Walkthrough Outward - Main Quests

Go to the nearby trees and collect firewood; behind the rock near the lighthouse you can find a staff. There is also a Big Ax right under the Town Hall. Go down to the beach to the water purifier, take a wineskin and fill it by the fountain.

As soon as you have a backpack (you will get it in the Lighthouse - for the first time it will do, but in the future it is better to buy a nomad's backpack from a city merchant for 25 silver), a weapon and a wineskin, talk to Burak at the gate and ask him to let you out of the city. Please note that at this point Burak may offer you a weapon skill, but only for the weapon you are currently armed with!

If you don't want to pay off the debt with silver, but are going to earn the Respect of the Tribe, leave the city and walk east on the road past two hyenas, then turn south towards the beach until you find Michel Aberdeen near the roaming Clicker Cancer (along the way, you will find a tree stump containing a healing potion). Try not to attract the attention of cancer, as it is a powerful enemy even for seasoned adventurers, and go up to Michel. Give him bandages or a healing potion and you will gain respect. Return to Riesse in Sierzo.

Walkthrough Outward - Main Quests

The safer route is to enter the beach through the vault located directly below the Lighthouse. Go through the cave where you will meet two Troglodytes (you can just run past them), and go through the exit, after which you will see Michel right in front of you. Don't forget to keep an eye on the Clicker Cancer. After you help him, run back to Sierzo.

If you cannot pay or write off the debt, you will lose your home. If this happens, talk to Rissa at the Town Hall to proceed to the next quest.

Another option is to skip the city with Isan, or join the Sacred Mission with Oliela (see below).

Prospection

Your friends are leaving the village, so you must accompany them until they leave.

Walkthrough Outward - Main Quests

Find Izan on the beach; Oliela can be found near Hammerhead. You can try to join their adventure; no matter what you say, you can meet them later in the Levant (Abrasar Desert) or Monsoon (Sacred Swamp) where you can join their faction.

Walkthrough Outward - Main Quests

When you're done, talk to Rissa again at the Town Hall heading to Berg (Enmerkar). She wants you to join her and her faction, which will clear your blood price forever. At this moment, she will present you with a Tourist ration for your future trip.

  • Warning: if you join factions Heroic Kingdom of the Levant or Sacred Mission Elatt, immediately after that, return to Sierso and talk to Burak, otherwise something terrible will happen.

Before going to the faction, it is recommended to first study Chersonesos. It may not be easy for you to survive at first, but you will get some loot, which will be very useful at the moment.

    Wendawel (Side-by-Side Quest)

This side-by-side quest starts as soon as the player commits to joining one of the three factions in the Vision of the Future mission. Here are the players who will enter Collegium of the Blue Chamber, there is an advantage, as Rissa will immediately inform them that at present their hometown of Sierzo is attacked by a powerful alliance of three generals, whose base is in the Wendawel Fortress.

Players who choose to join the Sacred Mission of Elatt and the Heroic Kingdom of the Levant may not receive such a quick warning! To start the quest, they must try to return to Sierzo and talk to Burak Corillon at the gate.

Although this quest is not considered part of the faction's storyline, it runs parallel to it. If you ignore it for too long, the generals will be able to plunder Sierzo, closing it to you for the duration of the current playthrough.

    Quote
According to the development team, once you start the quest, you must return to Chersonesos within 20 game days for Sierzo to survive! The good news is that the deadline timer pauses after you return to the Chersonesos map, and will be frozen until you complete the mission.

Return to Sierzo and speak with Burak to get information about the situation. Now you can prepare to travel to the Vendawel fortress located in the southwest of Chersonesos.

    Preparation

If you want to storm the Wendawel Fortress, then you need to be well prepared. Try to forge a Fang weapon and make sure you have the necessary food and medicine. Stock up on items to restore health / stamina / mana, as well as bandages. Also useful are things that add elements and / or disease to your weapon.

Be sure to stock up on plenty of traps and iron spikes - you'll definitely appreciate them by the end of this quest.

    Not necessary

Speak with Eto Akiyuki (the Kazite Spell Trainer located at the top level of the Sierzo docks) to learn more about one of the warlords, Rospa, with whom he fell out in the past. The NPC will offer you a disguise that you can wear to sneak into the deeper parts of Vendawel Fortress. To do this, bring him 3 scrap metal and 1 crystal sand.

Crystal sand can be found on the beach south of Sierzo, which can be accessed by exiting a cave located in the Sierzo vault, right below the Lighthouse. Wait until dark to see glowing blue particles on the sandy beach - they indicate a spot of crystal sand. There is more crystal sand in the Starfish Cave: wait until 1:00 am for the water to leave the cave, under which the sand lies. Beware of the Clicker Crayfish!

When you have the items you need, return to Eto and he will give you Kazite's mask and the time-shifting leather suit that make up the disguise. He will also teach you the correct greeting that you must use to trick the guard on duty.

Walkthrough of the main quests Outward

When you're ready, leave Sierzo and head to the Wendawel Fortress, heading south of the village, past Conflux Mountain. Beware of the bandit patrols. The entrance to the fortress is located near the beach in the southernmost regions of the Chersonesos map.

Once inside, you can choose Don Eto's disguise, if you have one. Talk to the guard at the gate at the end of the hall, to the right of the fort's entrance. Remember to use the correct greeting.

If all goes well, you will have access to the inside of the fort. Now you can explore the fortress, no guards will bother you. You can also talk to any of the generals. It's worth noting that none of them will attack you in sight - you must ask them to do so.

Moreover, they are completely independent of each other; killing one does not affect your possible negotiations with the other.

    Croc, Warlord The Drunkard

Located on the first floor, in a room to the left of the entrance to the fortress. During the conversation, you can offer him a drink in the hope of calming him down (options include tea and berry wine, which may be most effective if it were not such a valuable ingredient in alchemy!). Note that most of the options will cause him to attack you.

If the negotiations end badly, you will be forced to fight him. Croc is clad in armor and armed with a Brutal Mace, which he uses to the fullest. Fortunately, this is a one-on-one fight - no one will come to his aid, not even the two guards right down the hall!

This is a great opportunity to test your combat skills in close combat. Croc can deliver a powerful blow or attack with a combination of 3 hits; if there is too much distance between you, beware of a possible quick attack. If you have a Fang weapon, you can inflict Bleed status on an enemy, which will be a huge help in reducing their health while you wait for an opportunity to attack.

After being defeated, Croc will drop his Brutal Mace, which you can take for yourself. However, now the threat is posed by two guards at the end of the hall. Fight them or, if you need a respite, exit the fortress through the nearest entrance to rest / recover if you need a respite. Note that once you return to the fortress, you will still have to fight them. One of the guards will drop the Wendawel Key and the Prison Key, with the help of which you can get to any point of the fortress.

These are the only guards in the fortress that become hostile as soon as you defeat any of the three generals, but they respawn every 7 in-game days. Oddly enough, the rest of the guards (even those in prison!) Do not react in any way to your actions.

    Rospa, commander Kazitov

It is located in the large hall, which can be reached by turning left after the first intersection, past the guard gate. Go down the stairs to the lower floors of the fortress (where the prison and kitchen are located), then turn right and right again, up the stairs.

Walkthrough of the main quests Outward

If you want to come to an agreement with Rospa, he will require no less than Eto Akiyuki's trainer. You can fulfill his request ... instead, I decided to kick his ass.

Rospa uses sword and shield aggressively, but worst of all, his swordsmen will soon join him. Solution - before talking with the commander, place spike traps throughout the hall. As soon as the battle begins, lure all enemies into traps so that Rospa is left alone. Always move and do not forget that you can enhance your weapon with various effects (for example, elements) and increase the damage. If you have access to the Flamethrower spell, you can throw fireballs at the commander.

If you defeat this enemy, you can take the Crimson Shield and both Keys of Wendawel from his body if you still need them.

    Balira, Warlord of the Witch

Instead of going left at the first roundabout past the guard gate on the first floor, turn right and head up the stairs. Take the elevator to the second floor.

Balira is a magician and the most dangerous of the three generals. She knows how to cast throwing spells to mock you from afar, as well as a deadly lightning spell. To make matters worse, she is accompanied by two bodyguards, one armed with a sword and shield, the other with a halberd.

Before talking to her, place traps with iron spikes around the perimeter again. Like Rospa, it does not attack you when it first appears. The battle will begin if during the dialogue you say that you want to kill her.

Walkthrough of the main quests Outward

Place as many deadly traps as possible, as they cause bleeding. Balira is in poor health, so you can defeat her with iron spikes alone, weakening her bodyguards. After that, you just need to finish off the survivors. After the victory, you will receive the Arcane Magic equipment, which increases your mana by 15%.

Fortunately, Balira is also open to collaboration. If you want to come to an agreement, she will offer you to kill her husband, hiding in the Desecrated Tomb on the other side of the Pass of Ghosts, located in the northeast of the map of Chersonesos.

    Ruined fortress

After you agree / kill all three generals, be sure to return to Sierzo to report the good news. As soon as you enter the gates of the village, Burak will speak to you and give you a reward, including his helmet.
