The beginning of the game can be quite confusing because after completing the first part of the prologue (quests "Unexpected Guests" and "Run!") Henry jumps on a horse and gets on it to Talmberg. However, you will not be able to keep her forever, because her presence is strictly inscribed in the plot.
You will get your first horse only after a few hours in the game and after completing the main quest "The Prey", which consists in hunting together with Ian. After completing this quest, you will be given the horse Sivka - this moment is shown in the screenshot. She will be in the courtyard of Rattay Castle.
1 Note: Shortly after you receive the Sivka, you will be able to use the opportunity to place items from Henry's inventory in the baskets attached to the horse. This is a good way to unload a hero's inventory when, for example, you want to collect a lot of heavy items and return to town with them to sell them.
2 Note: In the future, Henry will be able to buy another horse, whose characteristics will better suit his needs.
How to get horse armor
You can buy horse armor at the stables northwest of Neuhoff. There you will find a variety of saddles, saddlebags, armor and horses.
