Fire temple
The Fire Temple is your base. Here you will find several NPCs and some interesting places that you can visit later. Now, on your first visit here, talk to the Keeper of Fire. You will find her at the bottom, in the main part of the location. Use all the souls to pump to the next level. Depending on how many souls you have, you will be able to spend points on new skills. Invest points in accordance with your playstyle and the class you have chosen (for example, strength is important when wearing heavy armor; we also recommend pumping health in this case).
After that, you can insert your sword into the campfire site located in the immediate vicinity of the Keeper of the Fire. This will allow you to travel to different locations. Now you can go to the location of the High Wall of Lothric, or first, it is better to inspect the Temple of Fire.
On the right you will see a knight. Talk to him and you will receive a new gesture - Collapse. When you are at the center point, talk to Ludleth, who is sitting on the throne. When you find yourself at the bottom, you will find a maid. This is an NPC from which you can buy goods and sell yours. For now, you must buy a torch that will come in handy in the dark corridors. Also note the tower key, which costs 20000 souls. If you buy it, you can go to another part of the temple, which is now closed.
You will also meet Andre the blacksmith. Talk to him three times to receive the Hurray gesture. Be sure to visit this NPC later to upgrade your weapon or repair it. Also here you can set the proportions of the available flasks (Estus flask and Estus ash flask). At the moment, there is nothing interesting inside the Fire Temple. Go outside or use the bonfire to go to the High Wall of Lothric.
Outside
In order to go outside using the alternative exit, go towards the main hall (with several thrones), and then towards the main entrance. Climb the stairs on the left, leading up (screenshot).
Once outside, you will find yourself next to a locked tower (you can open it with a key that you can buy from the maid). Near the start of the stairs leading up to the tower, you can read the message on the tree.
Jump over the coffins behind the tree. There is a corpse, near which you will find the bones of Homeward. Below you can jump down to collect coal. If you go straight, you will walk along the wall (another coal. Toward the end of this, on the stairs, you will see two enemies. Eliminate them and take the East-West Shield from the tree. If you take the far left path, you will go down, to the main entrance to the temple.
In front of you, you should see an enemy on the stairs. This is a half-naked man with a katana. Do not be mistaken about his lack of armor - the enemy is very resilient, and also very fast. Moreover, he deals huge damage with his weapon. The best strategy is to use your shield and block attacks and counterattacks.
Remember not to stay close to the enemy for too long, because they can hit you, dealing massive damage. Instead, wait while he is in a state with a weapon on his back. This means that he is preparing his swift attack. You have to dodge the attack, and then you have a chance to deal some damage. This strategy will keep you at a safe distance. Also throw fire bombs at the enemy.
If you have difficulty with this enemy, lure him to the edge of the stairs. Try knocking him off the edge with a few quick attacks. As a reward for the battle, you will receive the Outfit of the Master, the Gloves of the Teacher and the weapon wielded by the enemy - Uchigatana. It is the perfect weapon for a hero with high agility. The passage behind the enemy is blocked, so you won't find anything here until you open the tower door. Return to the Temple and head to the High Wall of Lothric (place the sword on the Bonfire next to the Keeper of the Fire if you haven't already).
