Use fertilizers to improve your crops. Fertilize before sowing or immediately after, and depending on the level of complexity. In the case of level 3, fertilize three times at all stages of growth (to get + 90% crops). In order to get the last 10%, use the plow before sowing. In the case of option 1, all you have to do is use the fertilizer once. The fertilization level of your fields is visible on your map, in soil components.
The fertilization process can be combined with other activities - for example, sowing, if you have the right seeder (for example, Amazone ED 3000-C). Unfortunately, only artificial fertilizers can be used with their help: a powdery liquid. Either way, the process itself is fast and shouldn't cause any problems.
There are five fertilization methods available - they differ in visual / cost / time required.

The sprinklers have a wide range of action, low weight and low speed. With the purchase of Amazone, you can attach an additional container to the front of the vehicle. Expanders move faster, have a slightly narrower range - in terms of cost, both options are similar.
Manure and slurry
Both are by-products of pigs and cows. About 10 farm animals are enough to fertilize 3 hectares of fields - use manure and slurry on different fields. If you are looking to grow potatoes, the Zunhammer ZuniDisc + SKE 18.5 PUD is a smart choice. This will allow you to develop and use natural fertilizer and save time in the field. Manure spreaders are not very efficient, but at least you won't pay for fertilizer.
Oil radish
It can be used as a natural (and free, you only pay for the seeds) fertilizer. All you have to do is sow the radishes in the prepared area. As soon as the first leaves are available, plow the field again and it will be fertilized as if you were using fertilizer. This is a good method at the beginning of the game, or in the case of large deposits with valuable crops. Even though you will need to travel to the field again, using fertilizer will be pretty much the same. The only advantage is that using a 15m long spray arm is much faster, so use this method as an alternative and not as a permanent solution.
Compost
If you don't want to pay for fertilizer, there is another option - compost. You can get it in a biogas plant, processing silage, which is a by-product of grass or chaff, and can be obtained from any plant (requires an expensive forage harvester), or from husks (the cheaper Pottinger MEX 5, $ 38).
