First of all, keep in mind that the shot button is located on the screen, so it's incredibly easy to accidentally fire your shotgun as you turn to look around.
When the game starts, be sure to search all the tents in the corners to pick up all the traps, ammo, lights and cameras. They are quite difficult to see in the tent, so turn on the flashlight using the button in the lower right corner of the screen.
After leaving the tent, set up your cameras to check different places and not run back and forth unnecessarily.
How to find and kill Reik (Rake Man)
If you just want to see Reik and not waste time searching the forest (with ads every two minutes), it is best to find a defensive position with your back to an obstacle (such as a tree, rock, or lake).
You cannot use the side of the tent as a defensive wall. Instead, it's best to head forward a couple hundred yards from the tent, then turn left to find a lake.
The water acts as a natural barrier and the Rake never gets close to it, which is why this giant body of water works much better than trees.
With your back to the water, place five traps in a semicircle around you, and then place five meat lures between them. Now you just have to wait. Usually Rake Man spawns within 10 to 90 seconds after you place all the meat lures.
