Assassins in the Palace - Main Quest

Your journey to the palace begins in the protagonist's cell, and your first activity will be a conversation with Imoen, who is disturbed by strange sounds coming from her bedroom. Go to her cell, and after a while you will be attacked by a group of assassins. Do not try to protect Imoen, as she will be injured no matter what you do. Eliminate the threat and listen to the conversation between Shael Corwin and Liia Jannath, who will take care of Imoen. After finishing the conversation, use the stairs to reach the lower floor of the palace and face another group of assassins hiding in the dining room.

Choose one of the stairs to reach the first floor of the palace. Go to the main hall where the Council meeting is taking place. In addition to the main character, the meeting will host a number of characters such as Captain Corvin, Liia Jannath, Duke Eltan, Duke Entar Silvershield and Duke Belt. The meeting will concern Caelar Argent and its crusade. After completing the conversation, head to the exit from the palace and talk to Captain Corvin about the whereabouts of your former party members. Thanks to this, you will be able to unlock the Recruitment Drive quest.

While chatting with Corvin, you can decide if you want to find your former companions first, or tell her that you are ready for an adventure north. If you chose the first option, leave the palace, and after you get to the courtyard, you will reach one of the edges of the screen. Then select one of the available areas on the world map and go look for possible recruiting companions. However, if you want to lead an expedition, return to the main character's cell and go to bed.
