Shenmue 3 - How to Solve the Bell Tower Puzzle

During the walkthrough, you will meet Elder Ye, who has some information about the Green Bridge. But first you need to find six tokens in her house, and then climb the bell tower and solve the riddle. In this guide, you will learn where to find tokens, as well as how to use them when you reach the bell tower.

Location of tokens

Badge 1: Look at the sliding wardrobe directly opposite Elder Ye.

Badge 2: There is a shelf directly behind the cabinet - click on it and you will find a second token.

Badge 3: Now move the cabinet and go into the opening. On the right you will see a cabinet with a glass door - a token inside.

Token 4: look to the left of the cabinet and you will see a shelving unit. Look into the third drawer.

Badge 5: go left two cupboards. Take a look at the small box.

Badge 6: Finally, look at the left side of the sliding door. Open it and take the last token.

Once you find all the tokens, go to bed. The next day, go to the bell tower to complete the puzzle.

Solving the puzzle

Climbing the bell tower, you will see six pillars, each of which has symbols. The symbols will not match what you see on the tokens you collected earlier - in fact, they act as opposites. You need to match each token with symbols that represent opposites.

Pillar with shield - use a sword token

Pillar with the sun - token with the moon

Pillar with steamed buns - wine token

Pillar with open palm - use a token with a fist

Phoenix Pillar - use the Dragon token

Turtle Pillar - token with Crane

Now you need to go upstairs and make several turns of the center of the puzzle. You will be using round and square buttons for this, so make sure you turn in the right direction.
