Rokh Guide. Survival tips

Note that the suit's oxygen and energy is quickly depleted, while hunger, thirst, and radiation are not very problematic. Failure to maintain the suit's power will affect your thermal management system, eventually leading to hypothermia. Also, death is possible from hunger, radiation, strangulation, etc.

Oxygen

- Look for oxygen in supply boxes (green light)

- Create oxygen from water using the electrolyser and the Water Reduction recipe. One way to get water is to extract it from the ice using your pickaxe.

- Enter the living compartment, which should be pressurized, using at least 20% oxygen. You can open your helmet, after which you will not consume oxygen. The pressure gauge will tell you when you are inside a sealed structure. If the indicator is green, the pressure is safe enough to open the helmet.

- Store oxygen in a tank inside your home.

- Trade oxygen with other colonists.

Tip: Running (Sprint) is a fast way to travel, but it also depletes your oxygen quickly. Run only as a last resort!

Suit energy

- The suit gets its energy only from the batteries, in the beginning you have two of them. Batteries can be charged using chargers. You can carry as many batteries with you as you like.

- If your current battery is nearly empty, replace it with a new one by pressing "I" and then drag a new one from your backpack into the slot.

- Find a battery charger in a landmark or abandoned settlement.

- Create your own charger in your settlement.

- Craft spare batteries and charge them.

- Trade batteries with fellow colonists.

- Travel during the day when the surface temperature is higher and you use less energy to maintain your temperature.

- You can control the temperature of your suit (press "U"). A temperature close to the outside temperature will allow you to spend less energy, but will increase hunger and thirst.

Radiation

- Use a special shield (Rad Shield) to reduce the level of radiation. It can be found in Supply Crates or crafted using the Pressure Furnace. Move the shield from your backpack to the Toolbelt, then press 1-5 to equip it, then click to turn it on.

- You can find a radiation shield on corpses or buy from the colonists.

- Avoid highly radioactive areas. Travel at night when the radiation is lower. Watch out for environmental conditions!

- Build a settlement with a roof. It must be made of a material with a high radiation reduction ratio. The reduction in radiation is based on the density of the material used to make it.

- Any building can block radiation. For example, if you find an irradiated building on the surface, you can build a vertical wall to protect you from radiation when you stand behind it.

Food and water

- Look for food and water in supply boxes (green light) or trade with the colonists.

- To consume food and drinking water, move it from your backpack to your tool belt, then press 1-5 to equip, then click to use.

- Another way to get water is to collect it from ice resources using your pickaxe.

- Please note that you cannot drink water if it is not drinking. If it is simply called "Water", it must first be purified. This can be done with an electrolyser and the Drinking Water recipe.

- In the future, you will be able to grow your own crops in the settlement.

Wounds

- You can get injured from dangerous events such as meteor strikes or falls from great heights. In the future, you can expect the emergence of hostile Martians.

- Injuries are shown on the body condition display in the upper left corner of your.
Severe head or torso injuries will kill you, and injuries to your legs will gradually slow you down.

- Injuries heal by themselves, over time.

- You can also use Mint Cake, which contains medicinal ingredients that will speed up the healing process.

Day, night and surface conditions

- Always keep an eye on the terrain conditions, which can be found in the lower right corner.

“Some areas have more radiation than others.

- During the day, the local temperature will be higher, which requires less energy from the suit to maintain body temperature. However, there will be more radiation during the day.

- At night, the local temperature is lower, so you will use the flashlight more often, which will drain the battery. However, there is less radiation at night.
