Guide update: 14 декабря 2019 года
In this guide, you will discover which civilization is the best to play Rise of Kingdoms.
Early game: China
Main bonuses: the defense of troops is increased by 2%. The resource extraction is increased by 10%. Construction speed increases by 2%.
Initial Commander: Sun Tzu
Unique unit: Chu-Ko-Nu
Opinion: good defensive civilization. China may develop a little faster than others, all thanks to increased resource extraction and speed of construction. However, these bonuses come to naught if you are an active player, and in the end you only get a small defensive boost. So this nation is only suitable for the early stages of the game.
Mid game: Germany
Main bonuses: cavalry attack is increased by 5%. Troop training speed is increased by 5%. The rate of recovery of action points is increased by 10%.
Initial Commander: Hermann
Unique unit: Teutonic knight
Opinion: there are some really good bonuses perfect for the active player. Recovering action points will allow you to complete more tasks every day, while faster troop training helps build a larger army quickly - combine this with a cavalry charge boost and you have a nice overall bonus for an offensive nation.
In the later stages: Korea
Main bonuses: increased archer's defense by 5%. Increased hospital capacity by 10%. Research speed is increased by 2%.
Initial Commander: Ylchi Mundok
Unique unit: Hwaran
Opinion: not the best trio of bonuses, but at least it will become more useful in the later stages, when you can save more of your troops than in other civilizations.
Rest of the nations
Rome
Main bonuses: infantry defense increases by 5%. The speed of troops on the march is increased by 5%. Food gathering speed is increased by 10%.
Initial Commander: Scipio African
Unique squad: Legion
Opinion: this is a good civilization for those who want to attack a lot and be very active in the game. However, in the long run, the speed bonuses aren't all that great.
United Kingdom
Main bonuses: the archer's attack is increased by 5%. Wood harvesting speed is increased by 10%. An ally's garrison power is increased by 20%.
Initial Commander: Boudica
Unique unit: Archer
Opinion: the main advantage is that you can get many more allies who will join your armies, but at the same time, if you are not in a really good Alliance, this bonus can drop to zero. Gathering wood is useless, but the archer's attack bonus is a good thing.
France
Main bonuses: the health of the squad is increased by 2%. The speed of collecting stones is increased by 10%. Hospital treatment speed is increased by 10%.
Initial Commander: Joan of Arc
Unique unit: Ax thrower
Opinion: slightly more useful in the later stages. France gives you faster healing for your troops and therefore faster potential attacks. Collecting stones is useless though ...
Spain
Main bonuses: cavalry defense is increased by 5%. Gold collection speed is increased by 10%. Troop load increases by 10%
Initial Commander: Pelagius
Unique unit: Conquistador
Opinion: it is a good nation for those who want to do a lot of farming, including gold mining. While I think that raising resource gatherings is useless, this civilization is well suited for a farming strategy player who wants to focus on growth rather than attack.
Japan
Main bonuses: the attack of the troops is increased by 2%. The scout's march speed is increased by 30%. Troop training is increased by 5%.
Initial Commander: Kusunoki Masashige
Unique squad: Samurai
Opinion: great for building a large army quickly. Japan also offers a 2% increase for all troops, which really helps, especially in the later stages of the game. The scout's march speed is unfortunately pretty useless, but the other bonuses are really good.
Byzantium
Main bonuses: the capital's capacity is increased by 15%. The speed of collecting stones is increased by 10%. Cavalry health is increased by 5%.
Initial Commander: Belisarius
Unique squad: Heavy Cavalry Cataphractarius
Opinion: faction for beginners in PvE or PvP. Also good for farming rocks, making cavalry look more impressive
Arabia
Main bonuses: damage dealt by united troops is increased by 5%. Damage to barbarians and other neutral units is increased by 10%. Cavalry Attack is increased by 5%.
Initial Commander: Baybars
Unique squad: Mameluke
Opinion: faction for the later stages of the game. Suitable if you want to strengthen your cavalry,
Ottomans
Main bonuses: Troop movement speed is increased by 5%. Archers health is increased by 5%. Active damage of skills is increased by 5%.
Initial Commander: Osman
Unique squad: Janissaries
Opinion: suitable if you want to strengthen the skills of commanders and archers.
