The DIY Rifle is one of the craft guns in the game that uses 9x19mm rounds and can only fire one shot at a time. It is more powerful than the Makarov pistol, and such a rifle is very easy to craft, since the materials for this are given at the very beginning of the game. It is also quite expensive - it can be sold for almost 750 rubles to most merchants.
The Makarov pistol
As mentioned earlier, the Makarov is a pistol that uses 9x19mm rounds. It is arguably the weakest firearm in the game, but it is said to have its advantages. The magazine contains 8 rounds, and the pistol also has an average reload time. It's not very valuable, but newbies use it a lot.
PP 1901
Fully automatic machine gun, which also uses 9x19mm rounds, but this is a slightly different type. The weapon uses 30 round magazines instead of 1-8. By and large, the PP is a kind of weaker version of the AKM, which is also slightly cheaper.
AKM
By far the most common weapon in the game, it uses 7.62 rounds and can wipe out all of your enemies with little effort. It is also a pretty cheap machine + you will get one of these for free while completing one of the story quests.
