When you land at any of the locations below, just listen for the laughter as it will let you know that the gnome is around. There are eight specific gnome locations on the map - there may be others scattered across the map, but those are enough to complete a Fortnite gnome challenge.
Underground in Haunted Hills (listen to the laughter to find out where to break a wall or start digging).
In Salt Springs, head to the basement of the middle ruined building, under the stairs of which the gnome will be.
The gnome appears frequently in the bathroom in the northwest building in Lucky Landing, at the far south end of the map.
Inside the Factory Flash, at the southwest end of the map. A gnome in toilets in the main factory building.
Inside a hut next to a water tower at the southeast edge of Retail Row.
In the bathroom at the hamburger in Fat Grove.
Walk to the house on the south side of Juicy Shores and enter the bunker under the main floor to find a gnome hiding behind a wardrobe in the bathroom.
