Rifts are small blue blobs in the Fortnite world that are scattered across the island. Entering such a rift, you will fly into the sky directly above it, at the height of the Battle Bus. Thus, this is a great way to quickly move around the map, but be careful - you can get killed in the air. Since you are a walking target, try to land carefully in an unpopulated area. It is also a great way to run away from enemies or move to a new location on the map without making a detour around. Alternatively, you can use the rifts to get into the enemy's giant fort.
