One of the first challenges you will face in Diluvion, there will be a search for items to upgrade the submarine. This mission begins when you meet John Hussley at the Transportation Engineering Guild in Tonnesburg. He will agree to upgrade the sub, but only if you bring him all the items he needs from the list. In this guide, you will find out the location of all the elements for pumping.
Scrap metal
Scrap metal is the easiest item on the list as it is quite common. You don't have to sail to specific locations on the map, just remember to investigate every wreck, research pod, and crippled submarine you find along your journey. You can also buy scrap metal from merchants, but it's not cheap.
Reinforced plates
Hussley's list of items needed to upgrade the submarine will include 15 reinforced plates. If departing from Tonnesburg, head east until you find the relic. Proceed with caution as this area is teeming with mines and hostile submarines. If you dive closer to the ocean floor, you will find a bunch of wrecks, which necessarily contain reinforced plates.
Blackberry
Another item on the list is the blackberry. Its berries are not needed to upgrade the ship, but as payment. The problem is that blackberries are hard to find, so you have to swim somewhere off the net. From Tonnesburg, head west until you find a sunken ship called Karl the Slow. From here, sail south until you find a place called Daybreak. This is a shelter for Mariana refugees. Inside you will find a little girl who is impossible to miss (she glows red). The game will call her Nervous Child. You can buy blackberries from her.
Engine parts
The next required item on the list for a submarine upgrade is engine parts. They are quite difficult to find, since the required space is outside the settlement. Starting at Dawn, head southeast, at a depth of approximately -10 to -20. You will come across some narrow passages where there are details in abandoned drilling stations and other wrecks. Hussley calls this area Fingerdal, and just like the armored plates, engine parts are scattered throughout the area in debris.
Radio Morse Code
The last item in the submarine upgrade is the Morse radio. When you ask the submarine captain about it, your sonar officer will direct you to the Sonar and Liaison guild. Starting from Tonnesburg, sail northeast through some narrow passages. First you will come across a place called Glassielberg. If you keep moving in this direction, you will eventually come across a guild, also known as SoCoM.
After you've collected all the items, you can head back to Tonnesburg and give all of Hussley's pieces to the Engineering Guild.
