Step 1: Install the MetaMask extension in Google Chrome
This is the easiest way to link the Ethereum blockchain as it is a digital wallet that allows smart transactions and contracts. To install it, go to this link.

Step 2: Buy some Ethereum
Ethereum is the currency of the game, so in order to become an owner of a kitten, you need to acquire one. Then check out the in-game market and kitten prices.
Also note that sales operate in a decreasing price format. This means that over time, if no one wants to buy a kitten, its price will go down. Thus, a kitten for 2 Ethereum in 24 hours will already be worth 1 Ethereum.
Once you are sure, buy the required Ethereum. Metamask has an option that allows you to buy directly from Coinbase.
Step 3: Put the purchased Ethereum into your MetaMask wallet
If you don't understand how digital wallets are written, take a look at the pointers. Cryptocurrency uses a different mechanism called Key Pair. So one long string of characters is your public address and the second long string is your private key.
These keys are similar to your home address and your front door key. This way, anyone who knows your public address can find it on the Internet. But your secret key is the key to your home. Keep it safe and don't show it to anyone or give it to anyone!
With your private key, you can access the funds connected to your public address. Inside MetaMask, copy your public key and paste it into your Coinbase wallet. This way, you send the Ethereum you bought from Coinbase to the MetaMask wallet.

Step 4: Login and buy Crypto Kitty
Together with a digital wallet full of Ethereum, you are ready to become the proud owner of CryptoKitty. Visit the application website and click Login. You will notice that instead of logging in, you will be prompted to log into your MetaMask account. Submit the details and then you'll be ready to go shopping for the world's most adorable kitten!
When you select a crypto kitten, a MetaMask popup will appear with a confirmation window and lots of numbers. For the most part, you can leave them at the default, but make sure the "Max Total" is close to the quoted price per kitten. Every transaction on the Ethereum blockchain requires payment, so the total amount will be slightly higher.
Please be aware that some transactions may fail as other people may be bidding on Crypto Kitties as well.
