Genshin Impact - walkthrough of Chi Guyun's quest

Chi Guyun is one of the most challenging quests in Genshin Impact where you have to solve puzzles and survive a battle trial.

Quest start

To start the quest, you need to talk to NPC Yanair, who is in front of the ruins on the Bishui Plain. The ruins are located in the southwestern part of the Wuwan Hang area. You can also unlock a teleport point near Yanair.

Explore the ruins and find fragments

Your first task is to explore the ruins behind Yanair. After reading the description, you should interact with three geo-statues in the area. They are easy to find as they stand next to large orange stones.

After that, a luxurious chest will appear, which contains the first fragment. Next, you need to ask the residents of Qing Tse Village about the fragments. As a result, you will receive clues about the location of the other two fragments from Granny Ruoxin, whose location is marked on the map.

Look for fragments near geo-statues

Finding the missing two pieces is not easy as their locations are not shown on the map. The first statues can be found in the garden west of Qing Tse Village, near the teleportation point.

Read the description, from which you will learn the order in which you have to manage the statues. Use the compass on the minimap for orientation and interact with the geostats in the following order:

1. Northern statue
2. Southeast
3. Northwestern
4. Northeastern
5. Southwest

Get the fragment from the chest and go to the next one. The second location of the sought geostatues is at the top of the Wuvan slope south of the Oma Ruosin location. To get there, you need stamina.

Once at the top, read the description to find out in which order you should interact with the geo-statues.

1. Hit the statue that points to the tree under the cliff where you are standing
2. Now on the statue to the right of the orange crystal, next to the tree on your level
3. Then you need the statue to the left of the single orange crystal
4. At the end, you need to hit the statue next to the tree in the water

Find your way to the treasury

Since you now have all three fragments, you need to talk to Granny Ruoxin again to find out where the treasure is. It is located northwest of the village (entrance to the right of the waterfall). Here you will find a gate that can be opened using previously found fragments.

Now interact with the treasure to start the challenge. You need to fight the guards and it is best to attack their eyes with a bow. After two critical hits, enemies are briefly disabled, giving you time to attack. Otherwise, only a high level, good equipment and strong skills will help.

If you survived the second wave of guards, the last enemy will appear, killing which, you can search the numerous chests in the room and thus complete the quest.
